Who buys carbon credits?

Carbon credits are bought by anyone who wants to support carbon storage. Mainly brands and companies buy these credits to offset their own emissions, and make sure their businesses don’t harm the planet.

Different types of buyers in the carbon credit market have their own reasons for purchasing:

1. Companies:
Big companies buy carbon credits to meet sustainability goals, boost their green image, and meet expectations from stakeholders.

2. Governments:
Governments purchase carbon credits to fulfil promises to cut emissions either internationally or within their own country.

3. Individuals and Groups:
People and environmental groups buy carbon credits to balance out their personal or group carbon footprint and help fund projects that protect nature and plant trees.

Currently, BX has an agreement to sell all carbon credits to Microsoft.
